Gwyn ap Harri
CEO
Gwyn founded realsmart way back in 2004 to scratch his own itch and allow him to teach in the way he wanted. Gwyn is the founder and CEO of the XP School Trust, a world renowned Multi-Academy Trust based in Doncaster.
Previously, Gwyn has designed systems for the DfE amongst others, using technology to underpin whole school improvement at a national scale.
As a teacher, Gwyn led the Computer Science department at Hatfield High School, Doncaster for six years, and worked in the technology and music industries during his early career.
Simon Brown
Managing Director
During 10 years as a teacher in an outstanding secondary school, Simon developed his passion for EdTech to enhance teaching and learning. In the classroom that he was introduced to realsmart and became an advocate of the tools and the organisation. In 2010 He joined the team in an Education Consultant capacity and worked closely with partner schools to ensure success. He is a Google Certified Trainer and Innovator. In his spare time he plays the keyboard in his band and enjoys walks at the beach with his wife, children and dog.
Gavin Norris
Project Manager
Gavin has managed projects at realsmart for the past 10 years and successfully delivered over 600 school websites and G Suite integration.
In his spare time, you can find Gavin under or in his camper van or walking with his wife and his Dog, Buddy.
Sam Gray
Technical Director
Sam leads our technical team at realsmart managing our infrastructure and product development. When Sam isn’t writing code he can be found on his bike, in the sea, out for a run or taking a walk with his wife Ashleigh and his daughter Georgina.
Michael Heslop
Design Lead
Michael is our design lead who will take you through your website design process from start to finish. Michael also has UI input into all of our applications and a capable front end developer. In his spare time Michael enjoys watching/playing most sport as well as spending time out and about with his family.
Matthew Belbin
Developer
Matthew joined the team in November 2020 as a junior developer. Matt is looking forward to putting his own stamp on some of the realsmart applications and has instantly fit in with the team. In his spare time Matt enjoys listening to music and spending time with his friends.
Nate Bird
Frontend Web Developer
Nate joined realsmart in January 2021, since that time he has covered a multitude of areas, primarily he assists Michael with new & ongoing website projects, including design proposals, customer training, website support, etc.
