We gather data either directly from the school or via our integration partner Wonde. The data we gather includes:

  • User forename, surname, MIS id and UPN
  • School name
  • School classes including class names
  • School class memberships
  • School user attendance*
  • School user achievement and behaviour*

 

*Optional additions as part of smartparents securely provided via our integration partner.

How we use this data

Collecting this data helps us understand what you are looking from the company, enabling us to deliver improved products and services.

  • For syncronising data with realsmart and Google
  • For the use in smarthomework
  • For the use in smartparent
  • For the use in smartportfolio

Realsmart Privacy Policy Update: Google User Data Retention and Deletion

We at Realsmart take your privacy seriously. This update to our privacy policy clarifies how we handle Google user data collected through our services.

Realsmart may collect Google user data through our integration with Google Workspace for Education tools. This data may include:

  • User forename, surname, and email
  • Google Drive File IDs
  • A copy of Google Drive Files as PDFs for use in Smaps when you upload a document

How we use your data:

We use Google user data solely to provide and improve our educational services for schools and students. This includes:

  • Facilitating user access and management within Realsmart platforms
  • Allowing users to embed files and documents in our smaps platform

Retention and Deletion of Google User Data:

  • We retain Google File IDs while they are still being used in the Smaps app.
  • Google IDs, forenames and surnames are stored from our sync app.
  • The specific retention period will depend on the type of data and contractual agreements with schools.
  • Schools have control over the data they share with Realsmart and can request deletion at any time.
  • We will comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), when processing Google user data.

User Control and Deletion Requests:

  • Users (students and staff) can access and update their Google account information directly through Google Workspace for Education.
  • Schools have the authority to manage and delete user data within Realsmart platforms.
  • If you have any questions or requests regarding your Google user data stored by Realsmart, please contact your school administrator.

Changes to this Policy:

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify
