Turn on only what your school or trust needs, from one control panel:

Passwords and naming, your way
Set how accounts and groups are named in Entra ID to match your school or trust’s IT standards:

Default passwords by role: Set starting passwords for new staff and pupil accounts.

Safe first passwords: If someone’s own password is too simple for Microsoft, or no default is set, their new account gets a random one instead of failing.

Built for trusts: Keep each school distinct, or use one naming standard across the whole trust.

Licences, leavers and the school year

Leavers: Disabled automatically, with a safety hold if an unusually large number would go at once. Optionally purged, then deleted after a set number of days.

Year end: Groups renamed and retired along with their MIS group, and last year’s class Teams archived.

Class Teams with Assignments: Education class Teams built from your timetable, with Assignments, Grades and Class Notebook. Needs an Office 365 A1, A3 or A5 licence.

Getting started with Entra Sync
To connect Entra Sync you’ll need a Microsoft 365 Global Admin to set up an app registration and enter your credentials into Realsmart. We’ll guide you through this as part of onboarding.
