All schools must publish specific information on its website to comply with the School Information (England) Regulation (2008), it is vital to ensure that your school website is compliant.

This guidance and checklist gives an overview of those requirements and the further information that the Department for Education (DfE) recommends that schools and colleges publish on their websites. Many academy trusts are under a duty to publish much of this further information, due to clauses in their funding agreements.

There are similarities between what maintained schools and academies must publish online such as admission arrangements, behaviour policies and pay gap reporting to name just a few items. There are also some key differences such as Annual Accounts for Academies, this is why it is key to ensure you are following the correct guidance (see below) to ensure that your school website is compliant.
