Education is our passion. We are driven to create products and services that enhance and support schools. We are a diverse group of educators, creators, technologists and innovators always exploring how to drive the EdTech sector forward.

Hybrid working:

We embrace Hybrid working and encourage a work-life balance.

Ten years ago we were employing staff throughout the UK and decided that an office based workforce was no longer practical or environmental so embraced hybrid working. This has allowed employees to better manage their time, commute less, and spend more time on personal activities, enhancing staff wellbeing and productivity. We have also benefited from greater staff retention, productivity and allowed a wider talent pool.

Hybrid working also supports our aim to have a reduced carbon footprint, with no daily commute and moving to a fully cloud based server solution helping us to work towards this goal. Over 95% of our client interactions are now virtual using tools such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or alternatives. 

Environmental Responsibility:

Realsmart operates a paperless office using Google Workspace to manage all documents. Hybrid working supports our aim to have a reduced carbon footprint, with no daily commutes and adoption of virtual meetings means 95% of meetings do not involve unnecessary travel.

Safeguarding and Online Safety:

  • A key aspect of our services, as evidenced by information related to schools that use their services, is the implementation of tools and policies to ensure online safety. This includes:
    • Monitoring software: Usage monitoring to detect potentially harmful online activity.
    • Supporting schools to provide online safety education to pupils.
  • This is very important, because schools must protect children from online risks.

Content Management and Control:

  • By providing schools with platforms to manage their online presence, we indirectly help mitigate risks related to inappropriate content being published. This is done by giving schools control over what is published on their web pages.
  • By providing our schools with the tools to control content of their websites, we are giving the schools the ability to maintain their own social values.

Data Protection and Privacy:

  • We comply with GDPR, and all of our data is stored in a secure environment.

There are a number of ways in which we can add additional value. We offer additional services as part of our package. This includes a parent communication app coming this year which is free to all realsmart customers.
